Abstract: Rafael Warnock in a new home in Washington DC, for which he paid $1.149 million.

Warnock made history in 2020 when he became Georgia's first black senator and won a special election that went to a runoff.

He repeated the feat in 2022, defeating Herschel Walker in another runoff to secure a full six-year term in Congress.

His new residence in the capital is modest by some standards, but nicely furnished.

The 1,780 square foot townhouse includes four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms arranged in approximately 1,780 square feet.

The new owners will approach the home on newly planted turf and grass and then enter a luxurious great room with an open floor plan.

The kitchen, dining and living spaces are combined and flow nicely to the end of the unit where there is a deck and beautiful views.

The row house is over a century old and has both charm and new updates.

The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, a wine cooler and quartz work.

On the lower level there is a private back entrance with a bedroom, second living room or study, and a full bathroom.

But the best amenity in this town is of course the off-street parking, and this house has two parking spaces, in fact.

In addition to serving our country in Congress, Warnock is the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta - the same parish once led by Martin Luther King Jr.

Warnock also owns an elegant home in his hometown.

The 3,000-square-foot home in Atlanta sits on one-third of a lot and has two fireplaces, three bedrooms and a fenced-in backyard.
