Abstract: Parting is so sweetly sad, but for baseball superstar Juan Soto, it's time to move on from the Washington, D.C. metro area.

After an incredibly successful five seasons with the Washington Nationals, including a World Series victory in 2019, the talented right fielder has listed his home near Arlington, Virginia for $1.095 million.

In August 2022, he was traded from the Nationals to the San Diego Padres in a blockbuster deal to reinvent the National League.

Now settled in Southern California with a $23 million contract for the 2023 season, the young outfielder is severing his final ties to the nation's capital.

His modest two-bedroom, two-bath, 1,160-square-foot home is up for sale.

The home sits on just under a quarter of an acre at the end of a long, sloping driveway, which puts it away from the street.

The listing indicates that the home is "lightly lived in" so the recent updates are almost original.

Luxury appliances and countertops have been added to the kitchen, and the home has gas lighting, a neutral colour scheme and remote control blinds.

An open layout simplifies the flow of traffic through the main living spaces, while the bedrooms include en-suite bathrooms.

The master bedroom boasts a large soaking tub.

A grassy, fenced yard and tidy backyard are ideal for relaxing or entertaining.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Soto was the runner-up for the 2018 National League Rookie of the Year Award at the age of 19.
