It was listed just last month for $1.85 million and went under contract 10 days later.
While the estate agent would not comment on the seller, this information indicates that "a very creative and talented owner bought the property in 2003."
"We received a number of offers, as well as backups," said Beth Ligon Molteni, a realtor with Fridrich & Clark Realty. "The home has great street appeal and is located on a walkable street in Nashville on a lot that rises above the road. It also has a nice backyard."
She added that the next owner of the five-bedroom home will have plenty of options.
"There is a lot of flexibility in the floor plan. For example, in the bedroom, there is a room opposite the wardrobe that is used as a small office that could be turned into a second wardrobe. The bedroom next door could be used as an office. You could also turn it into a gym or playroom for the kids. There's also plenty of storage space here."
The 3,826-square-foot house is a far cry from the original structure, which was built in 1959.
"It started as a one-story house a few years ago, and then a first floor was added," Molteni said." The wife is a very talented artist and she used to be a commercial designer. When you walk into the house it is a delightful space, very bright. The home has a fresh, traditional style rather than a super modern one."
"If you're looking for your happy place, this is it," the listing says. With such a brightly coloured interior, it's hard not to smile.
The living room is decorated in pinks and lime greens. The spacious dining room has coral curtains and pink walls, which are set against the dark wooden floor. These colours continue into the powder room with its swan wallpaper of pink flowers and lime green vanity.
The half-acre lot boasts a fenced backyard, covered porch, and a two-car carport with storage area.
"All of the buyers interested in the home have children and use it as their primary residence," Molteni added." With a price tag of under $2 million, this is also an attractive factor."
